Junior dos Santos is set to give Tai Tuivasa the biggest test of his career.
This will be dos Santos’s second fight since returning from temporary suspension tied to a potential USADA violation of which he was cleared in April. The former heavyweight champion would go on to fight Blagoy Ivanov at UFC Boise, winning a five-round unanimous decision to improve his pro record to 19-5. Dos Santos, has alternated wins and losses in his last nine contests.
Tuivasa has seen his hand raised in all three of his UFC appearances. A native of Sydney, the 25-year-old Tuivasa owns first-round knockouts wins over Cyril Asker and Rashad Coulter inside the Octagon, and most recently defeated another former heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski, by unanimous decision at UFC 225 in June.
