FIFA World Cup 26 Live  , Third-Place Play-Off
Coverage of the third-place play-off (Kick-off 10.00pm), which takes place at Miami Stadium in the USA. While few teams will want to play in this contest after such a long competition and having fallen one step short of the final, it does offer both sides an opportunity to sign off on a positive note, and perhaps offer some players who had little game time a chance to shine on the world stage. Despite losing 2-1 to Croatia in Qatar four years ago, a fourth-placed finish for Morocco was still the best performance at a World Cup by any African or Arab nation, and four years prior to that Belgium claimed a 2-0 triumph over Gareth Southgates England in Saint Petersburg, which was the best performance of any Belgian side at a World Cup finals, and the second time England had finished fourth after also doing so at Italia 90

FIFA World Cup 26 Live  , Final
Peter Collins presents coverage of the final (Kick-off 8.00pm), which takes place at New York/New Jersey Stadium in the USA. The fans in attendance who paid exorbitant prices to witness this showpiece match will hope for a more entertaining spectacle than what Brazil and Italy provided to those in Pasadena at the final of USA 94. On that occasion 94,194 people endured 120 minutes of uninspiring action in the first final not to feature a single goal, before Brazil became the first nation to win the World Cup final in a penalty shootout and lift the trophy for a fourth time. Four of the last five finals have gone into extra time, including the memorable match in Qatar four years ago that saw France and Argentina draw 3-3, with Argentina winning the penalty shootout, while four years previously France defeated Croatia 4-2 in the allotted 90 minutes in Moscow
