Novak Djokovic (Serbia)

ATP: #1
32 aged Djokovic won his fifth Wimbledon title after beating Roger Federer in a five sets. Having won four of the past five Grand Slam titles and as the reigning champion in New York, it is a clear favorite to defend the title this year.
He showed some weaknesses with a lost to Daniil Medvedev in the final of Cincinnati last week.

Rafael Nadal (Spain)

Nadal (33) took some time off before US Open, skipping the Cincinnati tournament. If his body will hold up, he has great chances for the title. Nadal has beaten the Djokovic twice in three finals here. And also winning title in Canada two weeks ago, gives him high hopes for the upcoming US Open.

Roger Federer (Switzerland)

ATP: #3
At age of 38 Federer is still in great form. He is the five-time U.S. Open champion, but he won last title in year 2008. He is drawn in the same half as Djokovic, so he will have hard time to win the title again. His last win over Djokovic was on hard court at World Tour Finals 2015. After that he lost four consecutive games to Djokovic, last one this year at Wimbledon final.
