Twenty-four teams will be playing across 51 matches in 11 cities, starting on Friday June 11 2021. Portugal are the defending title holders.

    The tournament will be played in six groups of 4 teams each. The teams that finish in first and second place will progress to the round of 16, as well as the four best teams to finish in third place.
  • EURO 2020 group stage - 24 teams; June 11 - June 23; games in all 11 cities.
  • EURO 2020 round of 16 - 16 teams; June 26 - June 29; games will be played in London, Amsterdam, Bilbao, Budapest, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Glasgow and Dublin.
  • EURO 2020 quarter-finals - 8 teams; July 2 and 3. Games in Saint Petersburg, Munich, Baku, Rome.
  • EURO 2020 semi-finals in London - July 6th and July 7th
  • EURO 2020 final in London - Sunday 11 July 2021

    Favourites to win Euro 2020

    The main favourites for the Euro 2020 title are the France, Belgium, Italy and England.
    France (transfer value €1.00 billion) is in 2nd position in the FIFA Ranking. They are current world champions and runners-up of Euro 2016. The team main star is Kylian Mbappe(Paris Saint-Germain) one of the best strikers. He recently hit the 40-goal milestone of the season for his team PSG.

    Belgium (transfer value €670 million) is another candidate for victory. They have won all the qualifier games, scoring 40 goals while conceding just three. Belgium is 1st in the FIFA Ranking. Despite never having won the European title, they have played in finals 1980, when they lost to West Germany 2-1. Key Belgium players are Romelu Lukaku, Kevin de Bruyne and Eden Hazard.

    Italy (transfer value €771 million) come into the Euro 2020 tournament unbeaten in their last 21 games, having last defeat in 2018. They finished qualifications with 10 wins and a massive goal differential of +33. With Roberto Mancini in charge, the Azzurri are defensively disciplined and a real hard nut to crack. They are waiting for title since 1968, when they heave beaten Yugoslavia 2-0.

    England (transfer value €1.25 billion) can benefit from playing all three Group D games in London. Whole nation is still waiting for their team to reach the final of European championships. Gareth Southgate had a big pool of talents from which to pick the squad for Euro 2020. Striker Harry Kane is one of the best no. 9s in the world, while forwards like Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish, Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling are regarded as some of the best in their leagues.
