With Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk agreeing to fight in Saudi Arabia, boxing will have an undisputed heavyweight champion in early 2024. The WBC title is currently held by Fury, who defeated Deontay Wilder in 2020 to win it. Three times, he has defended the title: once against Derek Chisora and once against Wilder and Dillian Whyte. After defeating Anthony Joshua in 2021, Usyk has gone on to win the heavyweight belts in the WBA, IBF, and WBO. Since then, he has defended those championships twice: once against Daniel Dubois and once against Joshua. Thus far in their professional boxing careers, Fury and Usyk have both gone unbeaten. Lennox Lewis, the holder of all four championships, was the last undisputed heavyweight champion in boxing history, having held the belt in 2000.
