10 national teams from across the confederation will compete, with the countries split into two groups of five ahead of the competition, to be held at the Estádio Mundialista Los Pynandi.
The top two teams of each group will advance to the semi finals. The teams finishing in third to fifth will proceed to play in placement matches against the teams finishing in the same position in the other group in the fifth place, the seventh place and the ninth place playoff.
